The DOT Administration Team has reworked how progression works. Instead of certain jobs being locked behind specific ranks, you choose the path that fits you, and parts of DOT like construction open up much earlier.

And if you thought DOT only responds to crashes, there’s a lot more to it. Everyone is welcome regardless of experience, and you’ll learn everything you need to know.

What DOT does

If towing isn’t your thing, there’s plenty more.

  • Towing Service

    Respond to breakdowns, crashes and impounds as roadside recovery.

  • Taxi Service

    Drive taxis, take taxi calls and roleplay with your passengers.

  • Bus Service

    Run a full bus route with mapped stops.

  • Construction

    Set up whatever kind of road work you like during sessions.

  • Roadside Assistance

    Answer calls and change tires, open from the base rank.

  • Snow Removal

    Drive snow plows during winter weather events.

  • Traffic Control

    Handle traffic light outages alongside law enforcement.

  • Roleplay Tools

    New tools that make your time on DOT even better.

How progression works

You pick what you want to do, and it opens up sooner than you might think.

  1. Base rankChoose Tow or Taxi as your first certification. You don’t need to train for both. Roadside assistance is open from day one.
  2. Tow certifiedUse trailers as soon as you’re trained, with a far wider range of vehicles than just the flatbed.
  3. Promoted off base rankUnlock Bus or Construction, whichever you like.

Certifications are digital and are usually reviewed by the next day.

Perks

  • PaycheckA big economy payout at the start of every month for meeting your quota. Higher ranks earn more.
  • Medal rewardsStarting at 8 hours a month, use perks normally reserved for higher ranks, all month.
  • DOT Free WeekendLog 2 hours in a month to unlock weekend rewards (Friday to Sunday), like higher vehicle and trailer access and custom uniforms.
  • RTO privilegesExtra privileges for DOT members during sessions.

How to join

Requirements

  • 13 years or older
  • A working microphone
  • Use Discord and Roblox at the same time
  • Pass the digital training
  • Stay professional and respectful
  • Follow GVRPJ regulations and department guidelines

Steps

  1. ApplyFill out the DOT application form (the button below, or the link in the DOT application channel on Discord). Applications are usually read the same day.
  2. Join the DOT serverOnce your application passes, join the department’s Discord server.
  3. Get certifiedComplete and pass your first certification, Tow or Taxi, your choice.
